On the morning of June 11, 2025, Dong Thap University welcomed a delegation from Shandong Vocational College of Science and Technology (China). The delegation was led by Mr. Liu Fuyu, President of the College, and accompanied by other delegates. Representing Dong Thap University at the reception were Mr. Ho Van Thong, Rector; Mr. Cao Dao Thep, Vice Rector; and leaders of relevant departments.
The two sides discussed cooperation under the "Chinese Language + Vocational Skills" model, which aims to equip students with both specialized knowledge and strong professional skills to meet the recruitment needs of Chinese enterprises. This program is expected to enhance students' career competencies and expand their post-graduation employment opportunities.
During the meeting, the institutions also explored establishing an HSK test center at Dong Thap University, providing students with convenient access to this international Chinese proficiency exam. Additionally, they discussed the review of plans for recruiting and training the third cohort under the industry-focused class model, further strengthening students’ career development and capabilities.
On this occasion, Dong Thap University and Shandong Vocational College of Science and Technology co-hosted the graduation ceremony for the vocational textile training course designed for Chinese Language majors (2022 cohort). Shandong Vocational College of Science and Technology awarded course completion certificates to 51 students from the second cohort. Upon completing the program, students gained core knowledge of the textile industry, developed intercultural communication skills, and met the professional and technical standards required by enterprises. This milestone marks a new beginning as they embark on their careers, adhere to professional ethics, pursue lifelong learning, and contribute to the high-quality development of the textile industry in both Vietnam and China.
International cooperation programs between Dong Thap University and Shandong Vocational College of Science and Technology have created a multitude of opportunities for student development, fostering vocational skills and enhancing societal human resource quality. Strengthening partnerships among educational institutions not only promotes academic exchange but also enables students to thrive in an international study and work environment, laying a foundation for long-term Sino-Vietnamese educational collaboration.
