In accordance with the memorandum of understanding between Dong Thap University and Japan-Vietnam Cultural Association (JVCA) and to contribute to the development of the Japanese language learning movement among the staff, lecturers, and students at Dong Thap University, in June 2024, the university has coordinated with Japan-Vietnam Cultural  Association (JVCA) and the Japanese Language Center (JVRC) in Vietnam to launch 02 free online Japanese language classes for the university's staff and students, with a total of 50 participants.

The Japanese language classes at Dong Thap University are held online two evenings/week on Monday and Wednesday evenings, or Tuesday and Thursday evenings (from 19:00 to 19:45 Vietnamese time) via Google Classroom and Google Meet. The program consists of a total of 61 sessions. Participants receive free Japanese language training, and upon completing one level (equivalent to N5), they can continue to higher levels (N4, N3). Additionally, learners have the opportunity to participate in various cultural and educational exchange activities organized by Dong Thap University in collaboration with Japan-Vietnam Cultural Association.
