On May 12, continuing the success of previous years' Job Fair and Employers Connection Day, Dong Thap University hosted the event for 2024, which featured cooperation opportunities with over 30 domestic and international companies, presenting more than 2,000 job offers for the university's students.

This year's program included businesses setting up booths for consulting, career orientation guidance, and sharing work experience, allowing students to learn, apply, and interview. At the recruitment counters, human resources officers described general employment requirements and specific needs, accepted applications, and conducted direct recruitment interviews.

Dr. Ho Van Thong, Rector of Dong Thap University, shared: "The Job Fair and Employer Connection Day is an annual program aimed at establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships between Dong Thap University and employers. It also enhances the effectiveness of employment support for students after graduation. This event provides students with knowledge, experience, and skills, helping them gain the confidence needed to successfully apply for jobs after graduation. It also offers graduates and soon-to-be graduates the opportunity to meet employers, participate in interviews, and apply for suitable positions."

On this occasion, Dong Thap University signed Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) with Apache Company and Teach for Vietnam. These agreements aim to facilitate student access to businesses and internship opportunities, enhancing their soft skills during their training. They also support career orientation and job opportunities for students after graduation. Additionally, companies at the Job Fair Day 2024 awarded scholarships totaling 164 million VND to support students.

Dong Thap University is a key training institution providing highly qualified human resources for Dong Thap province and nearby regions. The partnerships with businesses and employers enable these entities to effectively select suitable candidates for their vacancies, thereby affirming the quality of training and enhancing the university's reputation and position in society.
